From the Horse's Mouth

"Located near the base of the Snowy Range Mountains in southeast Wyoming, the Vee Bar Guest Ranch's historical lodge dates back to 1891. The ranch once served as a stage coach stop, a post office, and a buffalo ranch. Currently family owned and operated, ranch guests come to experience an authentic Wyoming ranch vacation." "This Wyoming guest ranch is open year-round. During June, July, and August guests enjoy all-inclusive ranch packages packed with activities ranging from horseback riding to fishing. From September to May, the ranch is open as a bed and breakfast. Horseback riding and other activities can be added to a B&B package year-round. Activities include cattle work and team-penning with cattle, mountain biking, hayrides, river tubing, trap shooting, camping, hiking and fishing. During the winter months, other popular activities include downhill skiing, cross country skiing, snow shoeing, and sledding." "The Vee Bar’s horseback riding program is top notch. Guests are matched with one horse for the duration of their stay, helping them make new friends and bond with their equine partner. The Vee Bar wranglers work with travelers to make sure they are comfortable on their horse. Every rider has the chance to progress as he or she becomes more comfortable on their mount." "You won't get bored riding at this Wyoming dude ranch. The terrain varies greatly and riding nose-to-tail is not encouraged! All trail rides are adapted to any level of experience so nobody will miss a thing." "Ranch accommodations include cozy cabins and riverside suites. Listen to the sounds of the Little Laramie River in the Riverside Suites, located near the lodge. These suites include a hot tub, two private bedrooms, full bath, small refrigerator, coffee maker, hair dryer and a modern, yet rustic feel." "Daily schedules vary depending on the season, but include a range of activities from which you or your group can choose. Hikes in the Snowy Range Mountains, sheep dog demonstrations, horseback riding lessons, team penning, fly-fishing demonstrations, river-tubing, movies under the stars, square dancing and archery are just some activities on schedule." "Home-cooked ranch meals are served three times a day buffet style, with dinner after cocktails in the John Wayne Saloon. Special dietary requests can be accommodated with prior notice. In addition to hearty, western culinary selections, fresh salads, fruit, homemade breads, pastries and desserts accompany meals. The John Wayne Saloon features a variety of sodas, wines, liqueurs and other alcoholic beverages. BBQ's and picnics are interspersed throughout each week, including a Thursday night BBQ in the summer months at the ranch campsite nestled in a canyon near the edge of the Medicine Bow National Forest." "This ranch is located in close proximity to Laramie museums and attractions, the Snowy Range Scenic Byway, Vedauwoo, Centennial and the Medicine Bow National Forest."
